Get Benefit from Subsidy on Home Solar Systems with Megamax Solar

Purchasing and installing solar energy systems is no longer a higher investment as the Indian government now offers subsidies for solar system installation. You too can contribute to creating a green and pollution-free environment with a reduced carbon footprint with on ground solar installation or installation of other required types of solar systems.

Now, you don’t have to pay a higher electricity bill each month for household electric consumption. You can reduce the monthly utility cost using renewable solar energy that releases no harmful carbon dioxide emissions and other dangerous greenhouse gases into the environment.

What is a rooftop solar subsidy and why government provide it?

A rooftop solar subsidy scheme is an initiative launched by the Indian government to encourage solar rooftop installation and usage in India. Rooftop solar systems produce electricity using solar energy to be used for different household purposes.

The government of India through rooftop solar subsidy promotes the use of clean and free solar energy and provides subsidies for solar rooftop system installations in residential properties. The subsidy is provided to residential, institutional, and social sectors as financial support and reduces some burden off users’ shoulders.

Solar subsidy benefits for homeowners

A solar subsidy is only provided on residential homes like big apartments and individual homes.  Consumers in industrial and commercial sectors can't avail of solar subsidies because they can get other benefits like excise duty exemptions, tax holidays, and accelerated depreciation. Household solar users can get subsidy only for grid-connected solar systems featuring no battery system.

When you install a solar system, you can claim a subsidy via the respective state DISCOM (distributed companies). They’ll share the customer information and register the nearby channel partner. Going for solar installation will help you in getting 5-year of performance warranty.

How to apply for a solar subsidy scheme online?

Applying online for a solar rooftop subsidy is simple. Visit the official website of the central government of India – solarrooftop.gov.in and tap on the “apply for solar rooftop – click here” link on the home page. Now, you will see a new page having the DISCOM portal links to allow people to apply for the scheme.

On this page, check the links given in a state-wise manner. Tap on the respective DISCOM portal link based on your state. Once you click on the link, it will open the power corporation website or the state electricity department. Now, check the online application/registration form for solar rooftops given on the website.

DBT or National solar subsidy scheme

DBT scheme – Direct Bank Transfer or National solar subsidy scheme provides solar subsidy straight into the consumer's bank accounts within 30 days of solar system commissioning. You can get benefit from this scheme by applying for it via National Portal for Solar Portal.

Leading solar service and solution providing companies like Megamax Solar provide installation of different types of solar systems along with their maintenance like solar micro grid maintenance. The experts will guide you on the best subsidies and how to claim them.

10 Potential Benefits of Rooftop Solar Systems

Solar rooftop panels set up on the roofs of commercial, residential, institutional, or industrial buildings harness the light emitted by the sun and convert it into cost-effective and clean energy. The adoption of this eco-friendly form of energy makes mother earth a safe and healthy place to live. Let’s jump ahead over some of the major benefits of the rapid spread of rooftop solar panels. 1.        Environmental impacts Solar rooftop systems are a cleaner source of energy because they only need sunlight to generate electricity. No pollutants and harmful gases are emitted during energy production. Hence, there is no risk of any health hazards. With widespread usage, such systems can reduce carbon footprint and global warming. 2.        Multiple applications The leading rooftop solar system providers in Delhi NCR are providing a wide variety of systems that can be used for numerous applications. For example, run househ...

3 Ways to Use Excess Solar Power

Highly efficient solar panels can produce more energy than your residential or commercial power requirements. Having surplus energy can result in more efficient energy grids, increased cost savings, and reduced fossil fuel emissions. It is a far better option than dealing with the problem of inadequate power supply. If you have too much solar power than your requirements, you can store surplus power. Opting for storage solutions will benefit your business or home and your pocketbook. Firstly, energy storage allows having enough reliable energy when production is less, and demand is high. Secondly, it fills in the gaps by ensuring constant power flow during disruptions in generators, repairing and replacement of solar system , and power outages. Better control over solar power consumption helps reduce the carbon footprint in your area.  Additionally, you can enjoy cost savings from your electric bills by reducing dependence on the grid. Furthermore, adopting a solar net meter...

Is India on Right Track to Become a Leader in Clean Energy Transformation?

India is an abode to one of the largest clean and green energy expansion programs. The nation has constantly proved its intention to clean energy transition through several goals it has set. Union Minister of Power and New and Renewable Energy, R K Singh stated that India is on the right track to become a world leader in the energy transition. The pledge of the government of India to meet the goal of net-zero emissions by 2070 at the COP26 in Glasgow has made a start. Solar Tele Communication Tower The Indian government has set a goal to meet 50% of India's power needs from renewable energy sources by 2030. India’s telecom sector that relies on diesel generators for power supply to the towers are nowadays going with solar Telecommunication tower installation that use environmental-friendly solar energy and reduce dependence on the utility grid. Solar Tele communication tower doesn’t pollute the environment and saves the operational cost of diesel generators. Just like the Tele...
